Nude Pissing War

The soap opera is tailor-made for reporters.

Who can resist a story that involves nudists, swingers, charges, counter-charges, a Foxy naked PR pro and a stuffy trade association?

And yet there it is....right there on the pages of the Tampa Tribune.

It essentially goes like this: A classy Florida nudist resort called Caliente www.calienteresort.com wants to reach out to younger people and increase its revenue flow. Caliente hired a beautiful foxy PR woman, Angye Fox. She comes up with a plan to expand membership by teaching a workshop promoting the co-existence of swingers and nudists at "Swingfest," a fest for swingers.

That's where the trouble started.

The Caliente homeowners -- traditional nudists -- didn't want swingers invading their clubhouse for parties thrown by the Aahz Party Lifestyle Group. The "Arabian Nights" and "Eyes Wide Shut" gigs were marketed by Aahz as events with "an explosive sexual atmosphere".....not exactly the charter of the American Association of Nude Recreation www.aanr.com or the Caliente homeowners.

This is when the public urination contest started.

Erich Schuttauf, the lawyer-like AANR executive director described Fox' Swingfest nudist-swinger co-existence course and Aahz parties as "very troubling". Guess there will never be detente between traditional nudists and swingers in the eyes of the 75-year-old AANR, which suspended Caliente's charter.

Publicly the management at Caliente is not losing sleep over the AANR ex-communication. "We helped them frankly," foxy Fox told the Tampa Trib. "They haven't changed with the times. We're taking advantage of educating the next generation, the 20-and-30 somethings on social nudism. (AANR) hasn't done a good job of targeting those folks. Young people communicate differently. It's a different world to them. You can't send them a (membership) newspaper."

She's right on this point. But isn't there another way of creating young nudists without bringing the swingers on board?
